Meet Roo! Roo is a striking,
domestic shorthaired cat
almost two years old.
He has an exceptionally brilliant
black and white tuxedo coat that
is soft and sleek. Roo arrived at
the shelter in November of 2007
paralyzed from the neck down.
He was an eight-month-old kitten
at the time. Ten months later, he
has regained his mobility and is
ready for adoption. No one was
able to determine what caused
his paralysis but the medical
staff kept working with him and
he eventually recovered. As
you can imagine, Roo is a staff
favorite but not just because of
what he had to go through in
his life. He’s a great cat. Roo is
gentle, affectionate and playful.
He gets along with the other cats
in his enclosure at the shelter.
We do not know if he was ever
exposed to children or dogs so
if you have either, please bring
them in to meet with Roo. After
spending more than half his life
in the “hospital,” just imagine how
happy he will be when he finds
himself in his new home with a
caring family who loves him.
