Seventh Annual Indian Rocks Beach Oktoberfest
The Indian Rocks Beach Rotary Club, Action 2000 and the city of Indian Rocks Beach will hold the Seventh Annual Indian Rocks Beach Oktoberfest on Saturday, Oct. 18 from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. at Kolb Park between 15th Avenue and 16th Avenue on Bay Palm Boulevard. Grilled Bratwurst, German Oktoberfest beverages and other treats from local area vendors will be served. Activities include Kinderfest from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., stein-carrying championship at 3 p.m., wife-carrying contest at 3 p.m., keg-throwing contest at 5 p.m., polka dancing contest at 6 p.m. and a silent auction (all day event). Live German music from the Cathy Lor-e-lei Band. Antique show (admission fee of $5), boat show, arts and crafts tents and an art exhibit. Grand prize drawing for a 42”

Sunrise & Sunset Shape-Up/Morning & Evening Beach Buff
Sunrise/Sunset Shape-Up is a fun and fast-paced total body workout for women and men of all fitness levels. This workout is designed to help you lose weight, build endurance, gain strength, improve agility and increase flexibility and balance. Morning/Evening Beach Buff is a gentler approach to exercise. This class includes light, resistance-band training, Pilates and stretching on the beach and at the church. All equipment and mats are provided for the classes. Classes meet and end at the Church of the Isles on 24th Avenue. October class schedule:
Sunrise Shape-Up - Monday, Wednesday and Friday, 6:15 a.m. to 7:15 a.m.
Morning Beach Buff - Monday, Wednesday and Friday, 8 a.m. to 9 a.m. Sunset
Shape-Up - Monday and Wednesday, 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. Evening Beach Buff –
Tuesday and Thursday, 6 p.m. to 7 p.m.
Sign up for monthly or weekly classes.
The cost is $10 per class by the monthand $12 per class by the week.
